Over those years it raised a stunning $52 million for the GLIDE Foundation – with a winning bid of $19,000,000 in 2022, making it the highest-priced charity item ever sold on eBay! eBay and GLIDE depended on Matchfire to manage this extremely high-profile auction to ensure that all bidders are prequalified and provided assistance with bidding, as many are unfamiliar with the eBay platform. Each year GLIDE held a celebration event with a live feed to countdown the final moments of the auction and it was our job to make sure it ended with applause.
